The BBC should give up on darts coverage
The Lakeside this year is an utter joke.
This is a transcript of the commentary I just heard:
"Chisnall's yellow shirt may not be stylish. But that double 18 certainly was. You might... see it... on the Morecambe Fashion Week catwalk... turning... heads. Indeed he's wearing a yellow shirt. And playing with pink flights. Robson on the other hand... black shirt... black flights. But it's the red bits on the board... that we want... to see... hits... in."
This pathetic rebranding to try and be a bit more Sky-ish is failing badly. Just keep it boring and old-manish. Stick to what you do best.
Last night saw a record number of bounce-outs due to the worst board in history, coupled with a refereeing miscount that affected a game's outcome drastically. Then we have to deal with this dreadful commentary.
Having just got back from London after watching the final at Ally Pally, this feels like watching Sunday League football after you've returned from watching the Clasico or something.
