The Bastogne episode of Band of Brothers [haven't had a BoB thread in while-centric]
Watched this on the big screen last night after watching it about 4 times previously on normal telly. F***ing hell. Probably the most powerful piece of television, nay cinema, ever. I don't think I breathed or blinked during the scene where that soldier gets shot in the neck and is lying there but they can't get to him and Heffron is shouting to him.
I also never really appreciated the cinematic beauty of the bombing scenes until now either, particularly when Doc Roe goes back to the town and it's getting shelled to shit.
After the episode finished I was shaking so much it felt like I was dancing.
If you've got access to a projector then you NEED to watch BoB through it. It needs to be watched in an immersive environment with a good soundsystem. Go on.
