Imagine my horror when i was informed that, on the whole, Scottish people generally do not have...
...pasties.
It hadn't occured to me that anywhere in the UK *wouldn't* have pasties - they're a hit with the Welsh, they're a reputable and delicious chain around England, and I've also had one (with gravy in no less!) in Northern Island.
I know that the Scotch pie is a formidable semi alternative, especially when you add baked beans. But it's not a pastie - it's not a whole meal in a shell. Is there a Scots equivalent? Or are you all just completely Godless (pastieless.)
