Liverpool need to hang on a bit longer for their season to start, being 'held' (despite Kevin Doyle actually having the better of the chances) 0-0 at Molineux. Spurs capitalised with a 2-0 win over a Fulham sie featuring Chris Smalling, who had earlier in the day agreed a summer move to Man Utd. Bolton beat Burnley 1-0 in a game that was high on hostility and atmosphere and low on pretty much everything else.
Man Utd take on Man City in The Most Important Game of Football Ever... In The League Cup tonight. I fancy Utd to win the game and tie as City, for me, really should have taken a bigger lead into this game.
Importantish stuff at the top as Villa entertain Arsenal and Chelsea aim to end Birmingham's unbeaten record. I see loads of goals at Villa and very few in London. I do love watching Roger Johnson and Scott Dann play at the back though.
Forest dick all over an increasingly pathetic looking QPR, but not quite to the extent that Cardiff dick all over Bristol City. Would Forest or Cardiff survive in the PL?
Martin Skrtel is convinced Liverpool will add to their ranks in the next few days. Benjani has been touted. That's the only rumour I want anything to do with.
