Some football happened last night after all (Football Thread)
Stoke raced into a 3-0 lead at half time and, if you believe the Metro, held on to it. If you believe every other news outlet, Fulham staged something of a fight back but were overcome 3-2 in the end. Anyone else read the Metro? Am I going mad or did it report Stoke won 3-0?
Steve Bruce will face punishment for saying things that don't come anywhere near the vitriol and disrespect of Alex Ferguson's more pleasant weekly ramblings.
Michel should become the first 'big' transfer of the window, joining Birmingham from Gijon for £3m. Don't know who you are, chief.
Owen Coyle is unlikely to be in charge of Bolton for tonight's clash with Arsenal, should the game get the go-ahead. And unless things change drastically in London between now and the afternoon, I'd guess it will.
Darren Ferguson looks set to be announced as Preston North End's new manager, ending speculation he could step in at Burnley.
Blackburn-Villa was postponed, as tonight's Manc derby will be. Mancini has vowed to end City's 33 year wait for a trophy and have the banner that keeps tally of those years in Old Trafford's Stretford End removed.
Benitez will have no money to spend.
Sven could leave Notts County unless an investor willing to inject £25m into the club is found soon.
