Mick McCarthy comes under scrutiny for fielding a side quite different to his usual 11 in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United. Fair play to him; it's his job to pick the team and he has no-one to answer to other than his chairman and, if he fancies it, Wolves fans. Aston Villa beat Sunderland 2-0 with James Milner scoring a bit of a stunner and West Ham sink further into the mire, losing 3-1 to Bolton, a side who had started the day as one of the few below them.
Chelsea welcome Avram Grant back to Stamford Bridge tonight, Didier Drogba looks set to pass a late fitness test to play according to some sources, and will be missing according to others. Burnley-Arsenal should be pretty interesting and Tottenham-City is the televised game. On paper, it should be a night of many goals.
Watford look fucked, with their entire board resiginging and the club slipping towards administration. Anything else?
