the worst invention ever?
1. they take ages to warm up, which messes up timings
2. they take ages to cool down, which makes controlling pan/wok temperature a nightmare
3. if you drop bits of food on them, you end up setting the smoke alarm off
4. they're a bugger to clean.
Okay, we'll all be using them when we run out of gas (pre-empting any contribution from creakyknees) but in the meantime: they can gtf.
