Oh My N'Gog. (Football Thread)
Morning all, excuse the tardy thread and it will be relatively brief. I've been in crisis meetings this morning about our quarterly bonus. (£36 before tax).
Those brave enough to put money on the sides in the top 5 playing last night winning would have been quids in as Liverpool and Chelsea cut Man United's lead to 4 points. Even David N'Gog scored. Arsenal comfortable keep West Brom on the bottom and put pressure on Villa to get a result tonight.
Reading and Wolves get back to winning ways whilst at the bottom once again sides pick up welcome wins. Southampton at Ipswich, Norwich at QPR, Forest at home to Preston and Plymouth at home to Watford.
In League 1 Leicester draw 1-1 at home to Stockport whilst Peterborough return to winning ways with a 3-2 win against Leyton Orient. Millwall win 1-0 at Southend and Scunthorpe draw with Walsall. At the botom, Crewe's good run comes to an end as they lost to Carlisle, Cheltenham pick up a point at Swindon.
In League 2 crucial wins for Barnet and Bournemouth towards the bottom. Grimsby are in real trouble after losing at home to Brentford, Wycombe also win against Chester whilst Lincoln hammer Dagenham. Bury lose ground losing 2-1 at home to Chesterfield and Bradford keep their promotion charge on track winning 1-0 at home to Macclesfield.
Dropping into the Conference. Wrexham lose ground on the play-offs by losing 1-0 at Crawley. Oxford, Torquay and Kettering win whilst Stevenage's 10000 game winning run comes to and end with a draw against Forest Green.
Dundee United beat Falkirk and Aberdeen draw with St Mirren in Scotland.
Hendon are through to the London Senior Cup semi final with a comfortable 4-0 win over Erith & Belvedere. Jamie Busby with 2, Glenn Garner and Lubo Guentchev with the goals. 3 clean sheets on the trot now. Unheard of.
