The worst person in the whole world, I think
is John Moody, executive VP of Fox News.
This man is the scum of the earth. Seriously. Has anyone read that story about the "attack" on a John McCain volunteer who supposedly had a "B" (for Barack) carved into her face with a knife by a black mugger who ordered her to vote for the democratic candidate.
While most serious news outlets reported the incident as "alleged" and prudently waited to see if the major question marks over the "victim"'s account would become clearer.
But not Fox news. Oh no.
Look at this, if they haven't taken it down yet for fear of being exposed as race-baiting bastards: http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/23/jmoody_1023/
Moody opens his "report" with a beautiful rhetorical flourish, establishing himself as a man who is clearly uniquely qualified to interpret the significance of this event:
"This.."
writes the great man
"... had to happen"
What? In what way? Some crazy black guy was bound to start carving Obama's initials into young white girls? Or it was bound to happen that Fox would attempt to ascribe national significance to a bizarre, horrific but utterly isolated incident? Or it was bound to happen that some stupid young activist would realise that Fox was such a gutter network that if she could successfully stage such an incident, that it would garner such sensationalist coverage from Moody and his brood of vipers as to potentially affect the result?
He goes on to state (and this is the really unbelievable bit) that if it is true, some voters will "suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee"
Just read that again - if this is true, people will feel they "don't know enough" about Obama??? Like, maybe they won't be sure if he isn't actually pretty "down" with this kind of thing? Or that maybe *he* himself was the "tall black man" in question?
Or is it in fact possible that Moody is trying to *encourage* his readers to "revisit their support" for Obama, to make some kind of emotional, fear-based, instinctual but entirely vacuous connection with Obama based merely on the fact that both he and this clearly very bad and evil attacker are both black?
Would a major news network do such a thing? Would they so brazenly attempt to shoe-horn race into an election, perhaps out of frustration that McCain, to his credit, has refused to do so?
Apparently so.
I am so angry about this! I've even created a wikipedia account so that I can edit Moody's entry to make sure everyone knows what a vile racist he is.
So, anyone who's looking for someone to despise over the weekend, I present you with...
<drum roll>
John Moody.
Why should this man be allowed to peddle this tripe? And on a network whose motto is "fair and balanced" or something like that.
I really do feel that the only way normal people can counter this stuff is to bother to post stuff about it in places like this just to make people aware that such disgusting abuse of power and privilege really does take place.
So, spread the word. John Moody is a badman.
<<I will now calm down. Thank you>>
