Why do they give football managers long mulit-year contracts?
I wonder what percentage ever fulfill the entire term of the contract? Surely it is a terrible business practice because they are always having to sack people and then give them ludicrous pay-offs.
This seems to happen without fail with the England manager post and most of the Premiership.
I'd rather the FA gave money to grass roots football rather than pay off someone who was going to get sacked as soon as the team inevitably fail anyway.
I suppose the masses of cash in football means they tend to avoid any element of financial responsibility.
