"Sharia Law inevitable" - This is clearly misguided isn't it?

What worries me most about the artcile is the quote along the lines "The idea that there's one law for everyone - that's a bit of a danger".
Surely there HAS to be one rule for everyone?
I mean clearly there's a lot of scaremongering about what sharia law would involve but nonetheless surely it's unsustainable and morally completley wrong to have a legal system where people of different cultures have different legal rights, responsibilties and legal decisions to each other based on their race and 'culture'.
For one thing it makes a dangerous underlying assumption that someone of a particular culture will wholly identify and want to be judged by the rules of that culture (which may not be the case) and for another, surely any such system is going to have serious repurcussions in terms of social cohesion etc.?
