Let us all take 3 minutes and 16 seconds to appreciate this BANGER.
sounds like it was really BORING !!
but Kevin is a one in a million classic that could never be recreated, and neither should it be. I'm happy with TC just doing their own thang from here on in!
I'm well up for that if anyone else is.
just TC casually breaking the rules, as per)
I like how it goes back into the chorus after a curtailed bar at the end of it.
I think The Beatles are the only band with enough heft.
A song for our times.
There seems to be a missing beat as it goes back into the chorus. What do you think warny?
I think it's quite effective but I could see how some people find it jarring.
Should be used as an opening statement of real INTENT.
kind of like the first time you hear 'them bones' but better.
but do you think TC releasing it might have ruined the chances of it appearing on LP10?
Also started wondering if MAYBE Kevin is a metaphor for an absentee father???!
This might've been discussed before, but I think sometimes in the chorus the singer is singing "now you're *a* jail", like Kevin himself has become a sort of jail?
I look forward to their inevitable "back to basics" rock album
Would be difficult manoeuvring if you were a jail, maybe that's why everyone knew he'd fail?
One of the best driving test allegory songs for sure
or any shit like that. They say what they mean.
