London The Troxy (November 19)
Manchester Academy (20)
Glasgow Barrowlands (21)
Just thought you might like to know.
do wish they hadn't missed the middle of the country out though. Will have to have a good think about this before Friday
Its going to be fucking shite, innit
I bloody love The Mary Chain and they were fantastic during the Brixton / Roundhouse gigs of 07/08. Plus they were on form at Primavera last year- that closing trilogy of Psychocandy sounded fucking great. I kinda wish it was just a "greatest hits" tour, but they need to pull in punters with a gimmick like this. Love Psychocandy and all those B-sides, I just hope it goes down well and drenched in feedback.
I do agree though.
a number of years ago. They were very good live. I know the fact that they're doing Psychocandy live will be a big draw but I remember that originally they were to play two consecutive Roundhouse gigs one date was cancelled and all tickets valid for the first. It'll probably sell out but perhaps they're not as big as people think. Nonetheless, I'd be interested in going; but depends on the price. Has that information been released? I'm guessing £40.
They better not have a full drum kit on stage with them.
Was pretty sad as it was the week before the gig and that meant that had barely sold enough to fill one night. I think it got to Jim as that was the last UK gig- they've extensively toured USA since, so they NEED a Psychocandy banner in order to sell out. I reckon it'll be steady, but will sell out eventually. I'm gonna say £35.
is that the JAMC were infamous for their shambolic gigs at the Psycho Candy era time. 15 minute gigs ending in near riots. Feedback. Noise and huge disdain for the audience. In ways magical. In ways lame.
A full set. Playing the whole album (sensibly) would somehow be unfitting?
Around £35 with postage. Sounds reasonable. I was expecting £40 plus fees.
Think it might be sold out now.
...having forgotten about it until now. Still available on Seetickets *spits*
after clicking buy on a two ticket order for glasgow
it asks for captcha input: fine
then has a little think: fine
then says "Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available. Try the following: Search again - Select "Best Available" or "Any Price". // Change the quantity of tickets requested. // Double check your promotional code or password, if you used one. At the time of your search, another customer may have been viewing the tickets you want and then decided not to buy them."
when you click on their in-house touting option to buy tix for "£94-110" each: "Looks like we have struck a problem. For some reason we couldn’t find the page you were looking for..."
same happens for the london one. manchester seems to be processing ok.
two indefinite mentions on twitter. no-one confirming they've got glasgow tix. no-one saying it's a sell-out.
is that another way of saying "sold out"? surely it didn't totally sell out in a couple of minutes?
fuck this. i need to be at work.
Oh well. Would have been shit anyway.... *punches the wall*
I don't mean that to sound like sound like some kind of bell-end boasting - just confirming that some tickets actually did make it to the fans.
According to Tickets Scotland the Glasgow date is now sold out. Although even before 9.00 this morning they were showing a message saying "contact stores for availability" rather than "tickets on sale at 9.00am"
just a shame the songs are shit
Tickets on sale Friday morning at 9.00
one of the greatest drummers to have ever drummed on a record!
