Broadcast, Bon Iver, Boards of Canada.
What do these have in common, apart from beginning with B? They each featured on the soundtracks of 3 different films that I've watched in the past week. Any ideas?

They are all from Birmingham.
Read to the end El_Goodo! What soundtracks are they on?
Broadcast is easy, surely?
I'll play shimmery.
Broadcast on Berbarian Film Studio. (blue-ray on my shelf. Havent watched yet)
Bon Iver on maybe Rust and Bone. Brilliant film. Cottilard should have been nominated for an Oscar.
BoC - Not many films with them. Morvern Callar is the only one I know.
Apologies for your rename...
You win Wooly!
Boards of Canada are used in Sinister, Gyroscope's weird loops suiting the atmosphere of the film quite well. I was in bits when The Wolves was played at the end of Rust and Bone, a brilliant film. I actually had to find out if Marion actually had legs in real life, thought the cgi was impeccable. The sound on Berberian was the best thing about it, so it should be I suppose.
bears. beets. battlestar galactica.
They've all intentionally echoed the past in their work
Broadcast = the sounds of the Radiophonic Workshop / library music and that.
Boards of Canada = old public information films / old porn (on occasion) / 70s, 80s stuff generally (with the occasional overlap with Broadcast, I guess, given their arguable influence on hauntology / Ghost Box, with whom Broadcast are somewhat related).
Bon Iver = the occasional 80s sax and related stuff on Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Thoughtful musings
But it was the films, the films...
I know
but I was HELLA proud
:)
Are they all on Warp publishing?

Good comeback
