Keaton Henson- Birthdays
Not seen any discussion of this.
Has anyone listened to it? Not seen a review of it on DIS either. Kronos is a surprsingly crushing track.
Also, did anyone see his museum tour last month? Caught him in Oxford, and the best description I could give was from the lad that went with me that it was "like watching a fading heart monitor"

I've only heard it a couple of times too. Really liked Dear... but this one hasn't connected with me as yet.

I really like it, especially the heavier, full band direction he goes for on a couple of tracks. Haven't caught him live yet but would like to.

Where is the love for this?
Crushingly beautiful songs, perfect production, that voice.
After a somewhat draining weekend this has reduced me to tears on numerous occasions this week. -
haven't heard this album yet
but I've been listening to Dear... in recent weeks and it's pretty good. A bit samey and/or derivative at times (there's one song which sounds like a parody of a Bright Eyes song) but there are a handful of amazing songs on there, You Don't Know How Lucky You Are and Charon in particular.

I'd never heard of this guy
but just listened to a few songs and now think I'm probably going to buy the album. So thanks for the tip oojimaflop. Is it worth getting the deluxe edition?
-
I'd say it was better the Dear even
Though Small Hands is still my favorite song of his.
-
Deluxe has 13 songs, regular 10.

really liked it, hasn't had the immediate impact on me that Dear did
but will need to give it another few spins. Haven't been able to catch him live yet, can't decide whether the 'like watching a fading heart monitor' description makes it sound amazing or terrible?!
