I love Sleepwalking. Did you see (some of) them on their comeback
at The Bull And Gate a few years ago? Bought back good memories of the 90s. At the moment I'm listening to Goldfrapp however.
Kraftwerk
All the talk about their recent shows got me properly listening to them for the first time (which I guess really was one of the main points of them doing it). Been listening incessantly to the 'classic' albums for the past month or so, and on an given day which I think is the best could be one of four (Autobahn, TEE, Man Machine and Computer World being the contenders).
All in all, I'm enjoying them...

GoatmeatMF this'd thisIt was The Invisible Way - Low
But has just this instant changed to Gangs - ...And So I Watch You From Afar.
Good start to Friday evening.
The Thermals - The Body, The Blood, The Machine
wondering whether to shell out for the reissues
though in hindsight
it probably needs a short version of around 4 minutes
end then an extended version which would probably be that version up there^ with an extra 8 bars between the penultimate and final 'verses' - 4 freak out and 4 bringing it right down before the final build
we'll see
it's good for now
Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom
Listening to it properly for the first time.

Grouper - The Man Who Died in His Boat
And then off to bed
takes a dip...
...in the third quarter for me, but it starts strong and finishes on top so yeah, all in all, pretty good.
Just catching up on a few novelties on Spotify
enjoyed playing several times the new Colt Silvers album and now from something very different Suuns - but can't really get into it, floating by me I guess. I can see how brilliant it could be but a bit too intense for my frame of mind right now ... I've got this terrible cold. :(
new dillinger escape plan
'Prancer'
:DUPDATE:
I'm now onto Klaus Schulze- Cyborg
Bright Eyes - The People's Key
It is 7:40am on the west coast of the US, I had a coworker threaten me today, and as I am a timid human being, I have taken it poorly. So I am drinking and listening to Bright Eyes to try and sleep.
This album is fucking amazing.
Bobby Womack - Across 110th Street
I've becomea little obsessed with blaxploitation soundtracks recently...
JaguarPirate this'd thisexploding hearts - modern kicks
best band ever
If it does, it's a pretty short dip
because (You Will) Set The World On Fire, You Feel So Lonely You Could Die and Heat are all awesome

Mogwai - Les Revenants
First listen. Not bad. Love that there's a track called Kill Jester.
Love Dragnet
One of my top 5 Fall albums certainly.
DaddyorChips this'd thisIt's really growing on me
Haven't paid it particular attention until recently, Flat of Angles is SO good
This has caught my eye twice this week
and both times I've not really been in the mood for it. I'm going to put it on tomorrow no matter what. I've got a funny feeling it's really skippy though and that's why I never play it.
I'm not sure what's on
I found a CD in a slipcase and I can't read the writing on it. It's obviously been recorded for me by someone who wanted me to hear it, but I neither recognise the CD, the writing or the music.
It's a live recording, and it's sort of cool jazz in bits and then other bits remind me of Eric Dolphy. Now I have screaming. It's not bad, whatever it is.
Classic catchy pop!!
Corrina Taylor - Always coming back
Hotel Wrecking City Traders album

5th time I've played it today. so good.
These...

Bleepy twisted melodic synth heavy grime instros.Tiago - Babel Fish
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMLlID1DKZQ
Awsome 'wonky' don't think anyone calls anything wonky any more wonky instromental. Fucked up synths again innit.DJ Q - Ineffable
https://soundcloud.com/localactionrecords/dj-q-feat-kai-ryder-be-mine
Because its the best pop/dance crossover album since like Remedy by Basement Jaxx or Discovery by Daft Punk. Its got that ballance perfect between still being a grass roots dance album for the dance floor but killer full on pop everything else.Mirrorring - Foreign Body
on Silent from Above at the moment. What a fucking album, man! Favourite thing Grouper's been involved with, I think.
Still in the 90's ….
μ-Ziq - Tango n' Vectif
first time listen to μ-Ziq too!
ah ok, he's Mike from the Expert Knob Twiddlers album
Andrew Bird's Bowl Of Fire - The Swimming Hour
Last.fm tells me I haven't listened to this since 2006. That's far, far too long (and probably not quite true). Top album, and I reckon it might be the start of a bit of an Andrew Bird-a-thon over the next few days.
Mac Demarco
on repeat
Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career
All killer, no filler
Self compiled drone-y glitch mix
Currently on the Max Tundra mix of Helicon 2 by Mogwai (I think it's some Bowery Electric then)...
