I got the email...
and was like "ooo The Weekend are playing dates, I'd love to see them at Brixton Academy".
then I saw it was at the o2. screw that.

they're a bit of a corporation now
big stage productions, arenas, outrageous ticket prices. also getting push from big radio stations

I can't quite get my head around it.
They/he were awful last year at festivals - all the gorgeous subtlety of the recordings replaced with shiny slick R&B session musicians.

Like a lot of Weeknd (at one of the EB shows) but the first minute or so of this song is hilarious.
