To give some context, it will be an evening of true harsh noise and power electronics.
Band bigraphies and full details will follow once i've confirmed the support acts.
true harsh noise
true haircuts

Excited ^__^
put sleaford mods on with em
i'm enjoying his morph into a darling of the noise world.
Not a huge fan of Sleaford Mods.
I don't hate them, and would be very happy to see him/them at another gig, but don't really want to put them on myself.
Funilly enough, they're supporting Consumer Electronics in Nottingham next month.
yeah, can't wait.
you should pop up. it's at a great, small venue. i think its just Best and Sarah, but thats the core isn't it?
I actually had every intention of making the trip up for it,
but sadly (or not) there's an all day noise festival on in Leeds the same day which our chum Cementimental is playing at, so i'm going there instead.
But yeah, for the Nottingham show it's just the Best/Froelich duo I believe instead of the full band version. It'll still be awesome though!
As it's a Saturday...
...and I enjoy gigs at The Grosvenor, I shall endeavour to attend.
It's one of my favourite venues, expecially for noise/experimental shows.
The PA in there is massive and, most importantly, they have no problem with cranking it right up, even for noise stuff. It can look a little sparse in there if you don't get a good turnout, but hopefully that won't be a problem!
It'd be great see you there (and you too Marckee!).
I only like proper noise,
like Sonic Youth.

Content Nullity and JfK announced as support. One (maybe two) more to be added.
I might come to this.
Maybe.
how popular are these noise bands..?
I'd love to come-can you pay my bus fare from Co. Durham?
Yeah, there's a limited amount of VIP tickets which include travel to and from the venue.
They're about £80 though. Let me know if you're interested.
DiS favourite CEMENTIMENTAL now added to the bill!
CONSUMER ELECTRONICS (full band version)
Active since 1982, Consumer Electronics is the long-standing solo project of Whitehouse's "dirty word specialist", Philip Best.
This will be a rare outing of the full band line-up, featuring Philip Best, Sarah Froelich, Gary Mundy (Ramleh/Broken Flag Records), and Anthony di Franco (Ramleh/Ethnic Acid/JfK).
This is violent electronic music. A writhing, wriggling, repugnant beast slithering forth in an amoral haze of sex and leather, extreme fetishes and fear. The stranger in the park your mother warned you about. No compassion, no remorse. A deafening torrent of feedback and high end squeals; scraping away at your brain, providing the soundtrack to your overwhelmed senses, your confusion, as stream-of-consciousness aggression rains down on your pretty little head. Co-opted by cunts. Always.
Come on, come clean.

CEMENTIMENTAL
Have you ever been on the internet? Then you know Tim Drage/Cementimental.
Over a decade of dedication to harsh noise absurdism has led to the "hardest working man in showbusiness" rightly staking his claim as the most recognisable face in the UK noise scene today.
I'd love to tell you what to expect on the night, but i've got no idea. Could be harsh noise, gabba, musique concrete, chiptune, circuit bent rough music, minimal, maximal... Whatever it is, it'll be pure entertainment with the best hair this side of a L'oreal advert. You owe it to yourself to be there, because you're worth it.

JfK
JfK is one of the many solo projects of Anthony Di Franco (Ramleh/Ethnic Acid).
JfK's sound relies on drum loops to create a pummeling, unrelenting, near-psychedelic, proto-industrial 'groove', before melting in and out of swamps of feedback, abrasion, static and noise to ensure you never get complacent or comfortable.
A much welcomed double LP re-issue/compilation of JfK's late 80s work, 'Teenage Fantasy 1987-88', was jointly released last year on Harbinger Sound/Hospital Productions.

And you started a thread to whinge on about the single phrase 'Noise Pop' like a Guardian reader?
JFC.
I don't mean to brag, Theo, but i've got a 'B' at A-Level English, yeah?
The descriptors/biogs above reflect an advanced understanding of our language, and you should respect them as such.
The formatting when I cut and past it from facebook has taken out some spaces though,
which is annoying.
you wrote that?

HAL HUTCHINSON
Hal's sound is both unnerving and uncompromising, most recently exploring the limits of his own 'Factory of Metal Sound' technique to brutal effect. Distorted, overdriven scrap metal on scrap metal on scrap metal on scrap metal. Abrasiveness over abrasiveness. No respite.
Renowned for the calibre of his collaborations and split releases as much as his solo work, Hal has worked with the likes of New Blockaders, The Haters, Black Leather Jesus, Shift, and Mania, and seen his work released on the likes of RRRecords, Unrest Productions and Freak Animal amongst others. If you know a man by the company he keeps, Hal is untouchable.

At the absolute forefront of the new generation of unforgiving artists for whom integrity is everything, Content Nullity hails from Dorset and is one of the youngest power electronics projects in the country.
Last seen stalking the stage of London’s Slimelight venue drenched in mud, he utilises an arsenal of self-made unique hardware and programmed software tools. Mixing cut-up scrap metal noise precision drenched in synthesizers alongside scathing vocals, Tommuel Reynolds crafts a blend of surreal mystery superimposed with personal self-destruction which leaves you drained, inspired by artists and writers such as Max Ernst and J.
