aye. got into the habit of waking up, listening to the s/t EP, having it stuck in my head all day, picking up some co-op lager on the walk home and listening to the entire back catalogue in my room.
Is Joyce Manor one of Cursive?
It really sounds like it from the bandcamp

I went a bit indie this week
1) Yo La Tengo 32
2) Cut Hands 21
3) Madlib 17
3) The Jesus Lizard 17
5) Pixies 13
5) Daphni 13
5) Melody's Echo Chamber 13
8) Can 12
9) Mogwai 11
10) Darkstar 10
1) Yo La Tengo are one of those bands who sound on paper like everything I find really boring but when it comes down to it their albums are always great. Fade is no exception.
2) The new one 'Black Mamba' sounds quite a lot like the old one. Which isn't a problem, if you like that sort of thing. Looking forward to more conjecture over whether he's a racist throwback colonialist or not.
8) Future Days is the best. Maybe. This week it is the best at least.
10) Not sure I love the new record. I get why people like them but all their stuff since they started sounding like an 80s synthpop group bores me somewhat.
the new Darkstar is so bad. I loved them when they sounded like a grim Northern 80s synthpop group but this new one is just bad-era Animal Collective cut offs.
I loved them when they were making Aidy's Girl Is A Computer
the vocals have ruined it for me.
Oh and the Melody's Echo Chamber record is really good
Really nice 'indie' record that doesn't feel contrived at all.
Yes, it is isn't it
I really like the Tame Impala guy, mostly it sounds a lot like him so that part of it does it for me too, as well as her Francophile dream pop
Top 11:
1. Unknown Mortal Orchestra (29)
2. Local Natives (22)
3. MBV (19)
4. Kendrick Lamar (19)

Would've got loads more here (Grouper, Four Tet, Seefeel, Labradford, Pan American), that I played off of a hi-fi on CD like some sort of post-Luddite. As well as the fact that I've done a bunch of listening via Soundcloud and YouTube, too. Fun fact.
(1)
Obviously. Though am probably going to listen to it more, because I took a break from it so it wouldn't over-saturate in my mind.
(2)
Again, obviously. Got 'Dragging...' and 'The Man...' this week. Spoilt for music, I was.

3b. I haven't really stopped listening to this band since hearing about them when I was in Athens in December. I think it's quite tough to source their albums but you'll probably find something on mediafire or whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDBKB-t14xw

1: New album is lovely. Not sure it's on par with MOF, but that's a hard ask. Will require more time, I think.
2a: Berberian Sound Studio soundtrack. Wonderful film, wonderful music. Um. And screaming.
2b: New album is pretty decent but lacks a real stand-out like FFunny FFriends. Again, more time spent with it required I think
4: Yeah only a couple of listens to m b v so far. More time yadda yadda.
6b: Some day I will find a definitive list of what NWW albums are actually worth pursuing, though I kind of like that invariably any one NWW album is the audio equivalent of trick or treat.
9a: Wasn't madly keen on the first album, second album is not changing my opinion; that said, A Day's Pay for a Day's Work is a sublime slab of pop fizz in anotherwise stale ocean.
