I thought this was a thing earlier in the year
like we knew the thing was going to happen and this is the thing, I mean I made a thread about how it's going to be part of the trifecta of disappointing returns.

it's pretty much a thing because it really is the first piece of actually legit, concrete info that indicates an album is imminent, I think. For all his hints, Rodgers saying the songs will have appeared by the time he goes to Japan, without giving a specific date, is considerably more woolly than industry pubs THR/Billboard confirming with sources that they've moved labels in anticipation of a spring release.
For me, the more interesting question in lieu of any actual music is why they left Virgin, who let them do pretty much whatever they wanted...
