and what with Bowie coming out of self emposed "retirement" and a new Prince track surfacing 2013 is already turning out to be quiet surprising!

This is kinda great

Impressed with her voice if i'm honest. I liked Whip My Hair a lot, but it was hardly a vocal workout...

The album could be very good if it's all as idiosyncratic as this.

    Sure, the gorgeous sample contributes a lot to its appeal, and it's a minute or so too long, and the ending's a bit dodgy. I enjoyed it a lot though.

    Whip My Hair was a legit banger so I can understand why that went massive, but I think people are just hearing what they want to hear with this.
    
    Willow can't do sad music because she was born in the year 2000 and 13 years olds don't get sad. And even if they do get sad, Willow Smith doesn't get sad because she's Willow Smith and her life is a cartoon.
    
    Get her back on some prime-Timbaland sounding production singing about whipping her hair or pogs or something and then count me in.
