When is the first major/most anticipated release of 2013?
You guys are usually on the ball. Who do I look out for? I don't know which artists have albums out soon.

Not sure about anything that major
But the new Unknown Mortal Orchestra album is pretty great. Also Christopher Owens from Girls has his solo album coming out very soon.
I really hope the new Midlake album is in the first quarter.
I really like Midlake.
7th January
Broadcast - Berberian Sound System
Stream it here - http://www.npr.org/2012/12/30/168144618/first-listen-broadcast-berberian-sound-studio
still need to see that
Just won't be the same without Trish :'(
Not sure I want to listen to it tbh. I will do, but it's weird knowing that beautiful voice won't be on it.
it's a film score
it wouldn't have had her voice regardless
She is on it.
Weird in a different way then!
14th Jan - Villagers
Nothing Arrived already looks like it'll be one of my songs of the year
My Bloody Valentine
obviously
Tomahawk - Oddfellows
28th Jan.
Biffy Clyro's next album is out on the 28th Jan.
I think that's the OPPOSITE of highly anticipated*
*im a little intrigued tbh
its a double album
which makes me a tad worried
but their touring guitarist mike (from oceansize) has been banging on about it and he is a boss so....
Based on the live tracks I've heard it might be a bit of a mixed bag.
Some of them are kind of dull, big rock songs that they wrote to please the Only Revolutions crowd, but then to the same token a lot of what i've heard is the best stuff since Vertigo, and actually kind of sounds like that album too.
Yo La Tengo - Fade
14th January. Ohm was lovely...
just got this to review
excited
Local Natives - Hummingbird
beyoncé
Imagine Dragons
FOALS
New Everything Everything looks set to be pretty special
14th Jan I think.
oh shit yeah forgot about this
need to order that on CD pronto
The Knife
John Grant
Nick Cave + TBS
these three fo' sho
Mats Gustafsson VS Colin Stetson
that came out about 6 weeks back
for some reason I thought it was out in the middle of January. Is it good?
i dunno actually
enjoyed it the couple of times i listened to it but not really felt compelled to throw it on since. i remember wishing stetson would go into circular breathing more often and have gustafsson blast over the top, there's only one track where they really do that.
Whoa WTF
Did not know about this. Intriguing...
Shellac?
New Dead Meadow, Black Mountain, and Electric Wizard would be swell too.
are those three happening for real?
if you're just wishing out loud, take it to another thread. can't be arousing false hope in others.
A$AP Rocky
I think it's leaked already (anyone listened?) so it'll definitely be out this time.
yeah, pretty poor imho
only songs that are really worth it have all been released (Goldie, 1 Train, Fuckin' Problems) - there's a few ones with good verses and beats but really bad/corny choruses and then some absolutely dire ones as well. Disappointing
It's a real grower for me
I never thought it was bad, just not as good as the mixtape, but I'm really getting into it now.
It's probably My Bloody Valentine, Atoms for Peace or The knife from what has been confirmed
steve mason
march i think
Delphic 28th Jan
I have high hopes for Matthew E. White's debut album..
Autre Ne Veut
This Town Needs Guns
Eels
I'm
Thinking new albums from
1. Suede
2. The National
3. British Sea Power
later on in the year will be top
Just pre-ordered the vinyl version of the new John Grant album
which has been revealed to contain 147 uses of the word 'fuck'. CAN'T WAIT.
The Queen of Denmark was good music to put on around the parents
despite the odd expletive. I'm guessing this won't be the same.
The new Bronx album is well boring.
