I like
The Dopesmoker reissue
The Drexciya Journey of the Deep Sea Dweller 2 comp
The Flying Nun Time To Go comp
The Personal Space: Electronic Soul comp
Putting that record on vinyl is fucking stupid. I figure the first track would probably take up three sides or so. Why? No one in their right mind would ever listen to it that way.
R U DOUBLE EFF
AIN'T NO OTHER CREW CAN CONTEST
The Ruff Sqwad compilation (it doesn't have that song on it but oh well)
Dariush Dolat-Shahi – Electronic Music, Tar and Shetar
Gareth Williams & Marie Currie – Flaming Tunes
Gate – The Dew Line
Amps For Christ – Circuits
Laurie Spiegel - The Expanding Universe
Because had never heard of any of them before this year and they are all brilliant.
MBV reissues were great and Southern Lord did their usual bang up job on Sleep, High On Fire and Poison Idea.
If the Can one counts then that ruled too, obviously
your number one choice isn't a reissue.
put the blue nile in there instead.
uh oh you're right
that's the first issue of that stuff innit.

I didn't compile the list and I think Dom was aware Can was more of a uncovering than a reissue
But still ....
The Codeine reissues are excellent
That William Basinski one looks awesome too, but as only the five richest kings of Europe can afford it it's a bit niche.
The William Basinski should be disqualified on the basis of its ludicrous costliness
How about a decent quality reissue that someone could actually afford to buy?

Josef K - Sorry for Laughing
Aztec Camera - High Land Hard Rain
All the My Bloody Valentine ones
The Generation Terrorists one
Porter Ricks - Biokenetics
And the MBV ones
Number 1-13 by Three Trapped Tigers if that counts
Pretty much anything that's released by Numero or Light In The Attic
I may as well get my boss to send my wages directly to both of them.
Yup
Numero's subscription email came round the other day and I was genuinely hoping that there wouldn't be much I liked the look of this year.
Then I opened it and it and was just "oh ffs"
Throbbing Gristle
Really liked these ones
