Nirvana - 'Unplugged' aired 19 full years ago...
... yes that makes me feel truly old but very grateful to have caught a band that stood out for a generation by some distance.

Nirvana
nice read
but i would maybe get rid of the falling snowfall on the page? it distracts me a bit
It's a 'WordPress' thing...
... that I can not get rid off. They do it every year. Apologies and thanks for the heads-up. I really enjoyed listening to the album tonight.
Just after this aired
someone at school had a bootleg tape of it, assume they just taped it off the telly but it gave one the impression of being there in the audience. The tension is unbearable at one point, just after Penny Royaltea, you hear Krist say "that was really great" which Kurt counters with "SHUT UP" in a mocking voice then a sharp "What? ...oh really...?". It just seems seconds away from a rock star hissy fit or full on fight. There's also some great youtube footage of the rehearsals where Kurt is visibly pissed off with the procrastinations of everyone around him (despite his endless no shows for practice and recording at the time).
And once again. This Sunday, Good Ship, Kilburn. Paintings of Ships and friends recreate Nirvana Unplugged track for track. Starts at 630-ish.
