Kesha: Still not a rockstar
I just listened to the new Kesha album. I thought she might have made some giant leap forward, what with NME gushing about how she's now cool because she's worked with Iggy Pop and The Strokes and such. I expected at least some kind of progress but the album is complete tripe. The Iggy track is the best one on it, but the rest is just song after song of Kesha listing her favourite rhyming alcoholic drinks and talking about fictional one night stands. Then oddly there's a couple of insincere ballads wedged in among the party tracks, where she sings about missing her wild young part days. It was only one track ago! If anyone apart from NME finds Kesha credible now, I will be jolly surprised.

impossible princess was great, though
That album cover
Like Tumblr distilled by the souless machinery of the pop music inustry.
that is properly hilarious
lol the iggy track is not the best one on it
die young is a tune, and there's another good one. but it's mostly bland.
kay ee dollar sign har
Wonder what happened to all those Flaming Lips tracks
You Control My Heart sounded pretty good.
There's one called 'Past Lives' on the deluxe edition
It's one of the best tracks of the album. As a matter of fact, it would be a more interesting album if she had replaced the most bland "Katy Perry"-ish tracks with the bonus tracks.
I had the misfortune to see her live twice in a week
She had a dude in a cock and balls costume who'd come on and dance while she sang a song about handjobs
this is why i don't understand all the joy division comparisons
