Going
One of the best live artists I've ever seen. The guy does a stunning three hour set like it's a quick coffee before a meeting.
oh fuck
bought my mum and dad tickets for his gig in Sunderland this year because he didn't play Scotland. got really jealous. there's no way I won't be at that.
Playing Kings Hall, Belfast too
which according to Wikipedia has a capacity of just under 8000. Might be worth a trip.....
Ticketmaster
says Belfast is a 'fully standing outdoor event' - so not inside the hall
London show is my birthday
my 30th birthday
fuuuuuuuuuuu
That's a frickin' great 30th party!
I know, right
Glasgow is far closer to me but I can't not go to this one, can I...
easily gig of the year for me
4 hours in Madrid, amazing show!
This is great!
I missed him at Hyde Park this year due to a wedding.
Anyone any idea on prices for Wembley ????
I've
seen £55+ fees quoted - but that looks a bit low for Wembley
Belfast says £79 on Ticketmaster. That looks more realistic.
that's about how much they were last year
When do these go on sale?
7th December according to his site
Cheers.
BROOOOOOOOOOCE.
O2 presale
on 5th Dec
I saw him three times this summer
And he was fantastic every time. Will definitely be at Wembley, and hopefully a few others as well. Might hit up some continental Bruce action. I've heard that Spain is the place to go - the Bruce fans there go wild apparently. No Spanish dates in evidence as yet...
Iron Maiden are doing a Maiden England set at Download on the same day as Wembley.
But taking into consideration what an utter ballache Download is, I might go and see The Boss instead. This'll be my first time seeing him as an actual fan.
Tickets have been got.
Lovely.
So this is pretty soon and I'm getting very excited
Any idea of support?
Not sure who's supporting at Wembley. I was tempted for that as
it's near me. I have a ticket for his concert at the Olympic Park. I've The Black Crowes and Alabama Shakes. I hope you have a better line up.
I'd like someone obviously
But would take an even longer Boss set over that pair for sure. I'd just like to make a whole day of it.
....
There won't be any support. He's never had any for his own shows. You won't get a longer set at Wembley- always around the same length.
That's me learned then
His headline set will probably be a bit longer than a festival set
Hard Rock Calling probably guarantee a 'full length' Boss set, but I suspect Wembley will get a few more songs than the Olympic Park.
I'm going to both, very excited. He's been doing some full album shows in Scandinavia - alternating between Born to Run, Darkness and Born in the USA, so my guess is he might do one of those at Wembley (possibly less likely at HRC, but might happen there as well).
The amazing thing about Springsteen
is that he plays different sets every night, and always pulls out something exciting. You could go to every night of his tour and I doubt you'd feel like you'd seen the same show twice.
Watch this amazing performance of 'Drive All Night' in Gothenburg.

It's a boring album track, but recontextualised here it is amazing.
In other words, I can't wait to see what he plays at Wembley! I keep hovering over tickets for HRC as well, but it's £70 and I like the fact that at Wembley the standing area can only be the size of a football pitch (and a good proportion of the 50,000 or so in there are guaranteed to be behind you), whereas in a park I can see scrum for space miles and miles back.
