I’m delighted to tell you that Desaparecidos ARE COMING TO LONDON! Thanks to all your votes we've managed to convice them to come over to the UK and make the show happen.

This couldn’t have happened without you (literally), and we really appreciate everyone's support in making this happen. We also want to thank Sean at Drowned In Sound for his huge help in kicking this off.

What now? Well, aside from preparing for an epic night, here are the details;

- The gig will be on the 11th of February at the O2 Academy, Islington
- The ticket price is £15. If you pledged more, you will still only be charged £15.
- The are no fees / convenience charges. £15 is £15!
- Your card will be charged and your tickets issued to you in a separate email.
- We’ll be selling an extra allocation from 12pm tomorrow at http://detour-ldn.songkick.com/tickets, so if your friends want to come, please send them the link.
- If you can't make it on the 11th, please let us know, and we'll refund you.

I had similar problems but have just tried again and logged in, voted, put in credit card details and it seems to have taken it. So hopefully I'll get a ticket. In fact I asked for 2 so if you don't get one tomorrow you can have my spare (If I get them!)

We have Denver's approval and that's pretty much enough to make our day as it is.
Desa is one of our collective favourite bands in the whole world ever ever, and the opposite of all them reforming indie heroes turned karaoke bands that I whinge about; like I get exactly the same buzz from backsell as I did from what's new for fall 10 years ago. and I think that's fucking magic, so much more so than any amount of Pavement or ATDI or Latterman shows.
So to get to be part of this would be a total life highlight, buttt we totally appreciate we're crashing someone else's (incredible) party and whatever happens, I'm just grateful I get to watch them. Aaaaand will probably star in one of your threads about drunk idiots who scream along to every word.
