guarantee this thread gets about 100 replies from the i-give-a-shit-about-pitchfork-reviews-of-albums-i-was-never-going-to-listen-to-anyway weirdos
I also enjoy really vitriolic reviews.
Stop spoiling my fun.
Like the review!
poor score, its a bit shit but reckons they can do better .....
for the first time. Didn't impress me too much, not particularly memorable. This I shall avoid therefore.
Just noticed Pitchfork gave Fiona Apple a 9.0 and Japandroids only 8.8. Really??
it was actually quite sportsmanlike, if i can use that inappropriate word. when a music reviewer thinks something is really shit they usually use that as a chance to (predictably) stick the knife in. quite rare for someone to not get personal.
but i always liked mark richardson
Pop etc. I mean. Shit or not, they are likely to have put their heart and soul into this album, love it and are super excited about it's final release, then they read this.
Not holding my breath
but 'Pop etc' might be it.
aren't allowed to employ 14-year-olds to write their reviews. Don't quote me on that though.
but they deserve the shite review for their appalling bandnames.
I just realised I've been mixing them up with THE SOFT PACK!!!!1
plus I assumed Fiona Apple was some MOR singer who would appeal to people like my Dad, or Coldplay fans. I must have missed when she got interesting.
But listening to their albums in one go is incredibly tedious, like getting an half an hour long blow job without any of the foreplay
after seeing that video.
actually rip off Owl City.
lol STONE ROSES FEEL?
Ive seen in some time. Butthurtness to the max.
this is just like? that D'angelo vid!!! minus the good music and sexi (yet tasteful) abdominal penis lines

to bring owl city's potent sexuality and merge it with the raw energy of d'angelo
POP ETC are great.
This has been a quality exchange.
definitely a better band name than Pop Etc
if not the analogy
*pauses for breath*
*makes sex face*
Almost admirably awful.
that said, the beat in the "i just wanna live it up now" bit is actually pretty good. Shame it was wasted on this
I shan't bother listening
