Adem/ Paper Cinema
Saw Adem (Aaah-dem) last night, he was very good and engaging as ever, Mary McWhatsherface was diverting enough, but I was very impressed with the Paper Cinema. They had two folks with paper/card cut out and drawings, waving them about in front of a camera, (projected onto a screen), acting out a story (we got Edgar Allen Poe's King Pest and then some dreamy train-ride-cum-night-flying-cum-flaming-temptress-stealing-young-boy's-hopes-dreams-and-innocence-whilst-still-giving-him-a-feeling-that-he's-doing-the-right-thing (or it could have been a love story). Then there were two more chaps, one on classical guitar/violin + loop pedal, another guy on laptop with some ambience and occasional effects (footsteps and laughing par example).
I liked that the two shows/films were split around the other support act, gave a bit of variation. A lot more enjoyable than most of the VJ-ing sets I've seen
