Andrew Ferris on BBC Radio Foyle
In other very exciting news, Jetplane Landing frontman and STA founder, Andrew Ferris is guesting on tonight's edition (Thursday 21st) of Electric Mainline, presented by our good friend Stephen McCauley on BBC Radio Foyle. He's going to be giving the lowdown on our recent relocation to Derry, independent music, the scene in Northern Ireland and will also be performing a track or two! - In fact He's google-ing the lyrics to the hits as I type this - check out the details below:
"Independent label Smalltown America has been responsible for a litany of essential releases over the years from the likes of Jetplane Landing and Fickle Public not to mention stunning debut albums from Oppenheimer, Clone Quartet and Fighting With Wire.
Earlier this year, the label relocated to Derry, the hometown of label boss and Jetplane Landing frontman Andrew Ferris. The move comes at a pivotal moment for Northern Irish music - there have already been more Northern Irish albums released this year than any other in recent memory.
As the label gears up for the next installment of its hectic release schedule, Andrew joins Stephen for tonight's Electric Mainline to discuss the move to Derry, independent music and the Northern Irish scene. He'll also be performing some Jetplane Landing songs acoustically and selecting tracks that have played a part in his own musical path."
Live tonight at 7pm on BBC Radio Foyle - (93.1fm/792mw)
Listen live or listen again for 7 days via the Electric Mainline Website
