should i sell my victoria park radiohead ticket?
reasons:
looking at atease, it looks like most people are planning to get there about 10am, so would have to do similar to be anywhere near the front, or else barge through the crowd, but no-one likes a barger.
one support, bat for lashes, who is ok, but seen her before. hugely disappointing in the support stakes, especially considering the price.
radiohead on about 8.00 at earliest, meaning, even arriving for gates open at 4 and accepting a place a little further back than is necessarily excting, 4 hours of standing around victoria park waiting (8-9 if you get there early, and i'm going on my own - friends and i had a deal to get tickets but everyone else dropped out when they realised it'd be close to £60 a head).
taking the afternoon off work to do this means losing holiday, of which i already have precious little (and need to take 10 days for our edinburgh festival gig, which i probably don't have left), or else rock up about 6.30 and have no chance of a good spot.
can't take any drinks in, so the only option is to buy the inevitably overpriced stuff they'll sell in there, and this means losing place in the crowd.
i really really love radiohead, but this really seems a bit of a faff for a potentially quite underwhelming gig experience (i'm sure the band will be ace, but i mean everything else). and, given the potential demand for tickets, i do sort of have pound signs in my eyes (don't judge me, i'm hard up).
what do you reckon? don't PM me asking to buy it, just seeking advice for now.
