you got a problem with that?
They are very affable young gents.
but less of the attitude please
they remind me of Flaming Lips but not as good though but thats cos their producer got alot of the same sound out of them as he did with the lips from the little I've head of um.
they're pretty rad.
and they said either is fine. You heard it here first kids!
Cos that's how it's spelt.
I for one think that their utterly dreadful music is only matched by their utterly dreadful live act.
Talk about hype over substance!
the Kaiser Chiefs, so consider yourself lucky.
'Management', I think I may have been adding in a few too many letters on that one.
we agreed "mugermatur" is also acceptable. But yes, MGMT were called "The Management" a couple of years ago.
Anyone seeing us tonight? Three shows in three days and I've met a grand total of 0 DiSers.
seeing them tonight!
the only DiSer who knows what he's talking about with music, and I give them a big thumbs up, so don't worry. Very, very little modern music is good enough to even appear on my radar. I block it out. But MGMT are firmly there.
The singer from MGMT's voice seriously grates on me, though the first track is definitely a killer tune.
Amazing Live band.
MGMT are ok, bit shit live though.
a sang a song of his at a karaoke bar the other day. Hazard.
# i sweearrrr i left her byyy the river. i sweearr i left her safe and sound! #
fukin stone cold anthem
cant stop listening to it.
everything else is a bit cack though.
Eand either the tv was fucked or they couldnt be arsed to sync up the vocals with their mouths.
I'm really lost about what people like about these guys, the music comes off really hippyish and really boring.
but now it's just mgmt
and my friend's drunk aunt asked us about "that MDMA band". One of the funniest things I've ever heard.
they fucking suck, both live and on record.
at Primavera. Excellent band to start the festival with. I don't think I've ever heard them apart from that.
this...saw them at Werchter & was glad that I'd missed them supporting Radiohead the week before.
2 of their tracks sound OK on the radio...but live they're fucking gash
They're the latest over-hyped NME wank
i saw the preformance of that big single of thers on the BBC at Glasto and it really didnt do too much for me, you couldnt really hear the guys voice, he was kinda wispering
they're bollocks. Well I think they are, do what you want
are horrendous, self congratulatory guff. 3 or 4 albums down the line (don't laugh)they could be a great singles band though.
But they bored the fuck out of me at Glastonbury
and i'm going to see them live on sunday so i can get a full all-round opinion on them then
but the rest of the album wasn't up to that standard.
(even though i haven't heard the whole album.
One my fave albums of the year so far. Kids is my fave song of theirs.
time to pretend actually made me cry on the way back from Werchter - too good...
likes the Shins. Win.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking they're a bit poor & over hyped! Kids & Electric Feel are great tunes, but how they've come out of SXSW as THE band to watch I really don't know. I can't see them getting past 1 album, whereas The Dodos and Fleet Foxes are both much more exciting & excellent live. MGMT live really lack something.
the albums quite good as a whole too
But I suppose I don't mind them on record.
is ace, but the newer single annoys me. the singer is way hot though.
is MSTRKRFT pronounced Mastercraft or moosterkrooft
i like singing "pieces of what" really obnoxiously to my cat.
i saw their video to "electric feel" the other day and thought that they could be a straight faced mighty boosh
really creative and really cool
mgmt was our soundtrack to glastonbury, oh how we had fun
