The Heavy Duty Thought Processes Behind My Latest CD Purchases
Used:
? - Wincing The Night Away. The store receipt doesn't remind me who this band is and therefore I have no recollection as to why I might have bought this album.
Wintersleep - s/t. I liked the cover art. Despite a piss poor success rate I maintain this method in my cd picking arsenal.
Portable Galaxie 500. Looks like a lot of stuff off On Fire but if there's even one new track, it's worth it.
The Clean - Anthology. Has like ..erm, over a 100 songs or something. $6. Bargain!
Steve Earle - El Corazon. "Have you ever put your life in Fullerov's hands...asked Fullerov to put his in yours..." Ha! That's my Jack Nicholson impersonation.
TVOTR - Return To Cookie Mountain. Better late than never.
Silverchair - Frogstomp. Dude on APOF called Feerick's early band a Silverchair tribute band. If a musician I like is in tribute band then that must be a good band. And mom said taking a Logic course in college was a waste of time. Ha!
Circle Takes The Square - As The Roots Undo. I have no fucking clue what this band sounds like. For all I know they are a glockenspeil-emo-accordian band from Lapland. I know what some of you are thinking: "I love glockenspeil-emo-accordian bands from Lapland." Well, duh!, so do I ...I bought the album didn't I?
New:
Clinic - Visitations.
All this for the incredibly low price of $64.
Am I genius or ...
Is a fool and his money soon parted?
