Are NME sales slipping?
It seems that most people remember the days when NME was a 100 page marathon, insightfully reviewing all the best and worst albums, and prising out the best new music in a well-written, non-patronising way
But now it seems that everyone hates it, but then, I'm not sure that the 'everyone' I refer to is
a) literally everyone with a brain
or
b) a select band of fairly elitist music-fans, that anybody registered on DiS could probably be described as?
I was wondering if its slipping in popularity now, is the trend away from its increasingly commerical and smash-hitsesque style universal? Are even young scenester kids turning away from it in favour of more obscure artists? Do you think we'll indie will therefore be 'pushed underground' and the NME will revert back to a more legitimate style?
