Who Is Paul Draper?
Last night I was watching, on HBO, this interview deal with Dave Stewart doing it up with Bono and the Edge. And I admit it. Bono seemed like a pretty decent chap. God, I want to hate the guy, but he's likable. Self-effacing and just a little bit phoney, but not enough to really hate him as I'd like. Then Stewart starts pulling out all these old classics, from Roxy to Television to Patti Smith and so on, and when he gets to Bowie's Low they do the obligatory oo's and ah's and Bono says something like, "to have the balls to try something completely different." Yeah! Herein lies the crux of this thread.
OK, so here I am, now. My parole officer is babbblling on about something or other, "this test better be clean or you're going back to Chino (it is ;) dear friends) and goddamn it! why can't you just give me a fucking address where you're staying?" and I'm thinking, Is Six an amazing fucking record or what? Mansun records a completely brillant debut britpop album and then on their sophomore effort they put out Six. Gutsy, I say!
