its this amazing ex-squat turned gallery-studio space-party venue. An amazing, crumbling old building with loads of artists in various rooms working and exhibiting their stuff.
plus all the walls are plastered with grafitti, some of which is wicked.
Do: The Jewish museum - really really interesting and interactive, best museum I have been to.
The Holocaust monument is really cool and makes for some great photos.
Bar - Studio 54, a series of outside and inside bars in a run down building covered in grafitti, also barbq and art instalations. Bar right at the top has agreat view and there is also live music.
Club - Weekender, 15 floors up with as roof bar with panaramic views of berlin fucking excellent, although not easy to get in if you are a bunch of guys so maybe break your group up.
Get ready to hear lots of heavy house and David Bowie.
Man I fucking love Berlin.
trying to persuade my gf to try this. we finally did at the airport on the way home and it was just sliced up frankfurter in "curried ketchup".
fucking disgusting.
is that normal?
as it's industrial and generally rubbish. Apparently where i went wrong was not going to the outskirt areas.
That said, there are things worthwhile doing in the centre, just don't focus your time entirely there. There are a few superb walking tours that are free, although tips are expected (10 Euro would do) - excellent way to see some worthwhile sites
it's lovely. Nice cheap thai place on Lychner str, best bratwurst is at the bottom of Danizger str, tiny imbiss it's been there for decades. Go to Madame Claude in Kreuzburg for great experimental gigs or Antje Oklesund in Friedrichshain.
also, on the listing i sent you i left out saturday because although there is a SHIT load listed for then, you'll have the most fun by hanging out in the parks and meeting people and finding the openair and houseparties.
Don't build a wall in the middle

Don't give Nazi salutes to police.

Just have fun, they've got some great art, everyone seemed really nice. Just stay clear of the dodgy parts late at night obviously. I'm Jealous!
24 hours in the Berghain?
Marcel Dettman & Matthew Dear are playing Saturday.
I know!
We get in at around 10pm and planning to go there, apparently they're not that keen on groups of tourists though. Oh well, we'll see.
