Originating from Melbourne, Heligoland play quiet and beautiful music, somewhere between Low, Sigur Ros and the Cocteau Twins, with just an hint of shoegaze in the middle. But it's the lush and warm vocals of Karine Vogt ( they could have been used on many classical blues or folk records ) that make the band special.

Heligoland have released an EP, two 7" singles (Separate, Along the snowline) and two albums : Shift these thoughts ( 2003 big rig records ) and A street between us ( 2006 Alone Again. Records/Australia ; Ocean Music/Europe ).

Heligoland have recently settled in Paris.
