Life changing albums?
'Armed Forces' by Elvis Costello. I bought 'Armed Forces' because the sleeve folded out into a cross, I thought that was cool, and it came with postcards too!!! Elvis didn't get much airplay where I'm from, the only thing I was ever really exposed to was mediocre american rock music. I remember locking myself in my bedroom for a weekend and disecting that record one side at a time, it was truly a breath of fresh air.
'The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society'/'Something Else By The Kinks'. For reasons unknown there has always been a gap this section of my record collection (until about three years ago). I don't know how I got by without them for this long. Dare I say better than the Beatles.
'Odyssey and Oracle' by The Zombies
'Forever Changes' by Love
'Good Old Boys' by Randy Newman
