The Starries

Bio

Expect an explosive entrance from Birmingham's Starries. Their early live shows led Fierce Panda's Simon Williams (then at the NME) to write that if the nascent Idlewild had sounded like a flight of stairs falling down a flight of stairs then The Starries 'must surely be akin to Idlewild falling down a flight of stairs, falling off a mountain. After a six-month break, The Starries returned to the scene with a new drummer and a harder, more focussed take on melodic hardcore. Singles for Bearos Records and Fierce Panda led to tour with Fungus, Seafood and Idlewild.
