In the classic bad-girl tradition of The Runaways came The Donnas, a teenaged quartet comprised of vocalist Donna A., guitarist Donna R., bassist Donna F. and drummer Donna C. After issuing a handful of singles, the group released a self-titled LP on the tiny Superteem label; upon signing with Lookout!, The Donnas returned with 1998's American Teenage Rock 'n' Roll Machine. Responsible for a series of catchy, yet undeniably annoying punk-pop offerings boasting of their male exploits and late night drinking binges.
