SugarComa

Bio

SugarComa are...

  • Jessica Mayers - vocals
  • Claire Simson - guitar
  • Heidi McEwen - bass
  • James Cuthbert - drums
Taking their name from a rare Hole track, the London fourpiece SugarComa were only 16 years old apiece when they released their first single, the 'Blisters EP' in 2000. Their sound is a syrupy brand of heavy metal, akin to a more overtly melodic Kittie, with frontperson Jessica Mayers equally likely to sing sweetly as to bellow venomously. They soon signed to Music For Nations and scored a minor hit single with a cover of Britney Spears' '(You Drive Me) Crazy'. Their debut album, Becoming Something Else followed in 2002. Tom Edwards
