Stephen Malkmus

Best known for his past-life in the rather seminal Pavement, Stephen Malkmus is undoubtedly the god of lo-fi. He is often accused of over intellectualising everything and wrecking good tunes by intentionally recording them badly. Unfortunately now solo he has started recording things properly, but gladly the pretentious aspects still remain so he still rocks.
