Bio
[Edit this profile]Eleven Albums down the line and Smog’s Bill Callahan remains an enigma. A consummate storyteller in tradition of Leonard Cohen, Smog songs are car-wreck compelling, unsettling, unsentimental narratives delivered in an irresistible rich brown baritone.
Smog was renamed briefly as (Smog) for the 2001 album Rain On Lens, and its 2003 follow-up, Supper, before reverting to the former soon after.
