Yossarian played their first gig in December 2003 and decided it was quite fun and planned to play more. This we have achieved. This gig was played without a name, but after agreeing that a name would be useful, settled for the time being on Yossarian. This was because Dave had read about half of Catch 22. The band currently live together with an illegal lodger called Laloe who looks like a lion and who has nearly burnt the house down. Ben, Tom and Henry are working men and Dave is nominally a student (although his eggs are all in the rock and roll basket) who works around the bed, pottering around the house in the manner of a retired gentlemen. In the evenings they often practice together in their warehouse which resembles a fridge and puts poor cold-blooded Tom’s life on the line.
There is no sacrifice too great where the band is concerned. After this they cook meals based around mashed potato, get excited about reality TV, watch eighties films and play endless games of pro-evo. They are often seen out in Cardiff mingling with the stars - Cylla Black, Joe Pescali, Les Dennis and Michael Burke to name a few. But paparazzi shots in the gossip mags aren't what this band is about, it's the music!
