Bio
[Edit this profile]David Bazan, when not defending his title of Indie-Rock's Most Eligible Christian Songwriter™, records melodic indie-rock in the vein of Sebadoh and John Vanderslice.
After playing in various hardcore bands for a number of years, Bazan formed Pedro and released the slow-burning first full-length 'It's Hard To Find A Friend' in 1998. With a constantly evolving rota of players, Pedro would come to release two further EPs - 'The Only Reason I Feel Secure' (1999) and 'Progress' (2000) - and two albums - 'Winners Never Quit' (2002) and the harder edged 'Control' (2002). Bazan's most recent offering paired him mainly with long-time collaborator TW Walsh to produce one of the most accessible works in Pedro's catalogue, 'Achilles Heel'.
In early 2006, Bazan announced the temporary shelving of the Pedro name, recording under his own name whilst long-time collaborator TW Walsh moved onto solo projects.
