By night, LE NEON are four hyperactive art-pop- rock tykes who take the cavalier essence of extremely early Blur and Idlewild outside for a darned good kicking. Fronted by the ragged urchin shape of Dan - a man not averse to crawling around the stage and hiding in his monitors - LE NEON have toured with '80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster' and have been likened to The Stooges having a ruck with Joy Division, while The Vines watch and weep.
When fierce panda first encountered the quartet at London's Hope & Anchor at some dizzying point in 2002 they were called simply Neon. When another Neon raised their head above the gig guide parapet, simply Neon acted swiftly and stuck a 'Le' at the beginning - a neat antidote to the hordes of 'The' bands currently doing the rounds.
The fierce panda mini-album is called 'Luss' (inter- band slang for 'good' or 'lush') and is Le Neon's first ever release. It was recorded for thruppence at London's hearty Fortress Studios. To celebrate this event, Le Neon joined the fierce panda springtime tour with Winnebago Deal and (X) Is Greater Than (Y)..
