I could come up with all sorts of quotes and reviews and suck my own cock but instead I'll be honest. We are four dysfunctional small town kids still clinging to the 'dream'. A dream that us generation Y slackers will eventually rise from our pile of Playstation 2's and cigarette packets and make some kind of future for ourselves. Say it as it is and to hell with the consequences...why not start a band and rid the world of the manufactured "fevered ego's". ain't that right bill?
We're from the Isle of Wight, England, everyone knows your name and everyone knows (or thinks they know) your business. Nothing much happens and no one seems to want to change that. So, over the last year the four of us have played every type of venue to every type of audience. Whether its 450 people in a theatre or one man and his extremely uninterested dog in a Weymouth toilet, we were there trying (often in vain) to defy the human need to file and label. "I'd say they were indie rock" "nah I'd say more post grunge" We're Kody, who needs a fucking buzz word!?! From the mouth of the legend Miles Hunt, "that's why bands have names".
So that's pretty much it. Like I said before, I could come up with loads of shameless self-promotion. "hey I'm Gareth, I'm 21 and I like long walks and Douglas Coupland" but its all so transparent. There are mp3's on the sound page and there's lyrics on the songs page. Light a cigarette, listen to a track, read a few lines and decide for yourself...
