Kava Kava
Bio
Hot UK act Kava Kava are all set for their debut US gigs at the SXSW Music Festival 2007 this March. A turbo charged live act from Huddersfield in Yorkshire, Kava Kava creates "party-worthy music by combining rock, funk, dance and soul" (Billboard Magazine, USA). The Kavas hit SXSW with a crunching 6 piece line up featuring the distinctive blues tinged vocals of Pat Fulgoni alongside guitars, electronica, brass section and drums.
January saw Kava Kava profiled as one of THE bands from the Yorkshire area of the UK to look out for via the New Yorkshire project (Yorkshire? think Corrine Bailey Rae/Kaiser Chiefs/Arctic Monkeys etc), track 'Bank Job' being featured on the Music Week magazine (MIDEM edition) cover mount CD with a glowing write up on the band and initiative. http://www.newyorkshire.net
