Human Waste Project

Human Waste Project, featuring Aimee Echo, (now of theSTART) were surely ahead of their time. Coming out in 1997 with a metal-fueled debut album the band was critically acclaimed and likened to everyone from My Ruin to Jack Off Jill (although this surely was merely as all three bands were female-fronted metal bands.)

Whilst recording "E-Lux", their debut, HWP went through some unusual circumstances. Starting production of the CD on Friday 13th, the process continued through a Lunar eclipse, and a meteor crash. The band then began mastering the record on Halloween but was soon put on hold due to fires which surrounded the studio. The final result was an intense metal medley of hard-driven songs.
