Hailing out of their graffiti-covered East London studio, Black Mariah formed in late 2004, mixing a raw guitar assault with electro beats. Within a few months they had progressed from playing in old strip-joints through to headlining slots at the likes of Bring Your Own Poison, drawing comparisons along the way to acts such as Death In Vegas, Primal Scream and Spiritualized. Always determined to push the boundaries, the band are currently working with club promoters and VJs to further blur the lines between what live bands and electronic noise can be.
